At SBU Specialties, we are at the forefront of animal nutrition and health, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to enhance animal resilience, feed digestibility, feed integrity, and product quality for ruminants, swine, poultry, and aquaculture.
The Quality Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the SBU Specialties Quality Manager in managing daily operational quality tasks, primarily focusing on issues related to tolling manufacturing, complaint handling, and the implementation of the Quality Manual and Supply base Quality Management framework.
You will oversee quality operations across approximately 20 production plants (both in-house and subcontracted), manage diverse processes including chemicals, blends, natural extracts, and fermentation, and collaborate with teams across 6 commercial regions.
Key responsibilities:
- Complaint Management: Serve as the primary contact for tolling manufacturing complaints, ensuring effective logging, investigation, and timely resolution.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Handle derogation requests and shelf-life extension inquiries, providing prompt responses to maintain service continuity.
- KPI and Reporting Support: Assist the Quality Manager by collecting, tracking, and analyzing quality-related KPIs from various sites, and ensure timely collection, consolidation, and submission of KPI reports.
- Quality Manual and Supply base Management: Aid in developing and implementing the SBU Specialties Quality Manual, and collaborate with stakeholders to deploy the Supply base Quality Management framework.
- Audit and Team Collaboration: Support quality audits, ensure compliance with established standards, and work closely with quality teams across sites to maintain a unified approach to quality management.
Main Skills
Profile required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management) with at least 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing or tolling environment.
- Solid experience in coordinating the quality in the food or feed sector.
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards such as ISO, GMP+, HACCP, or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of SAP-QM or other quality management software is a plus.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., French or Spanish) is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, problem-solving mindset with an approach focused on continuous improvement.
- Customer-focused approach to managing complaints and inquiries, aiming for high satisfaction levels.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with diverse cultural backgrounds.
