Due to Covid-19 pandemic, many students lose the opportunity for healthy meals when the schools shut down. By partnering with GENYOUth, Adisseo NA is able to help those students and families in need while raising demand for farmed goods that otherwise are going to waste like cow’s milk.
GENYOUth, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating healthier school communities. Adisseo decided to sponsor 10 schools across the country in order to provide relief to students who may not have access to hot meals outside of school. Each school, based in Wisconsin, New York, California, Georgia, and Illinois – will receive $3000 grants to provide hunger relief to at-risk students.
GENYOUth created their COVID-19 Emergency School Nutrition Fund to help feed US nation’s kids during this unprecedented global pandemic.
Through partnerships across the public and private sectors and the support of civic-minded corporations like Adisseo, GENYOUth’s response to the Coronavirus has been focused on the 30 million American children who rely on school meals (including milk, whole grain, fruits, vegetables and protein) for their daily nourishment, and now millions more due to COVID-19.
