Adisseo produces sulfuric acid to supply its captive use in the production of Methionine, but also commercializes this product to various industries as a standard grade of 96% and as a more concentrated grade of 98%. Sulfuric acid can be used in pulp and paper industries, pharma, oil, food industries as well as water treatment.
In Europe, Adisseo is a major player in regeneration of industrial spent sulfuric acid streams via its regeneration unit on Les Roches site. This activity is part of Adisseo ‘s approach of Sustainable Development and virtuous Circular Economy. With this service, Adisseo collects industrial spend sulfuric acid streams, process them, purify them and valorize the Sulfur they content by regenerating fresh concentrated sulfuric acid with it.
